Day Walker at LAST!!!

It’s been a long time since I enjoyed plundering the city at day time… Since I started working, I was accustomed of living like a vampire for the past two years of my professional life…Being in the graveyard shift really turns your shit upside down… I almost forgot how it’s like to wake up early in the morning on weekdays and have my morning jogging around my beloved Katipunan Avenue… I also missed the smell of hot pandesal from the nearby panaderya plus the scrambled egg with a hot Milo at home for breakfast…

While the whole world is busy for the U.S. election, I in other hand am busy making CHANGES in my own life… November is a good start for me and with this month my vision of enjoying a cold breeze each morning is finally coming true… At last, I am now a Day walker!!! Morning shift, mid-shift, a regular life as everybody calls it… Nah! I didn’t take a zip of Alexander Corvinus blood to be a high-breed vampire nor be a junky to be Blade and walk on day time but I am now enjoying the feeling of waking up in the morning and hearing the early birds sing outside the window… This is very refreshing indeed and even though my body is still adjusting with my new schedule, the thought of having a normal day and going home and sleeping at night are more exciting for me rather than going home in the morning and waking up in the afternoon for the night shift… Haggard days are finally over at least for now… The question of “how long it will last” is not an issue yet; I’ll deal with that later…

For the meantime, I want to enjoy the process of my adjustment ‘til my system will be normal… Fucking your own system for work is not that easy though, like in my case, it took me one month of adjustment before I got used of twisting my own lifestyle for my graveyard schedule… I stayed at night shift for more than two years now, so it’s like two years na akung puyat hahahaha….

Thinking about trading a night differential for a normal life is like Little Mermaid Ariel bargaining her voice for a pair of feet… It wasn’t that easy though…

Then I realized, Screw night Differentials!!! A good healthy system is something that money can’t buy I guess… Big thanks to Bebeboo as well for terrorizing my mind and convinced me to make this decision…

This change started last week, and I spent my first morning doing a hundred meter dash around Ateneo de Manila campus… That was a good one! I lost gallons of sweat plus I burned millions of calories… I really love to run, though I’m not opting for the running team or trying to be Mr. Flash… I’m just the ordinary Miss Charlotte who enjoys jaw dropping and a heart pounding meter dash track rather than doing Ms. Recto’s Pilates exercise…

Right now, I’m starting to furnish my plans for the whole month and enjoy my day to day basis and my non stop run for a cost crusade every morning that I’m looking forward to everyday… As well as my preparation for Christmas but unlike student, I might not be having a Christmas break because of my line of work… Gosh! This is what it takes to be a hooker… hahaahah

oh kindred spirit!

more than two years din gabi ang buhay ko until last month when i career shifted.

screw night diff nga, mas masarap ang tulog sa umaga.

mahirap ngang magadjust dahil naloloka na naman body clock mo, pero i swear it's worth it.

One day, I'll make this move to be a day walker too. ;)
